Commonly Ask Questions About Trees and Lights

Q. Can I put blinking or flashing bulbs on my tree?
A. No
• The trees do not come with flashing or blinker bulbs
• It will void any remaining manufacturer's warranty if blinker bulbs are put on the tree

Q. Can I add extra light sets to my pre-lit tree?
A. No
• The tree is not intended to be used with any extra electrical equipment.
• Adding extra light sets may cause fuses to blow and will void the warranty

Q. If one light bulb burns out will the row continue to light?
A. Yes
• However, replace missing or burned out bulbs as soon as possible, extra current can cause other bulbs to burn out faster.

Q. Can I change all the bulbs on my tree because I don't like the color or style?
A. It is not recommended. It can damage the lights if improperly removed from the socket.
• It will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Q. Where are the spare replacement bulbs and fuses for the tree?
A. The replacement packet should be taped to one of the electrical cords. It is usually on the bottom row or the tree cord itself.

Q. Can I put my pre-lit Christmas tree outside?
A. No
• The trees are intended for indoor use only
• Using the tree outdoors will void the warranty

Q. Can I hang glass ornaments on the tree?
A. Yes, but do not put them directly on the wires for the lights

Q. Why are needles falling off of my tree?
A. These pieces are from the trimming process at the factory. It is perfectly normal and the tree may continue to shed for a couple of years.

Q. Why are the lowest set of branches smaller/shorter than the row above?
A. This is to enhance the appearance of the tree and is completely normal.

Q. How do I pull the branches down on my Christmas Tree?
A. Make sure they are firmly seated in the holder and gently pull down. If you have to pull hard, the branch is not seated properly. Also, make sure any twine or string holding the branches up has been removed. The twine is the same color as the tree.

Q. Can I make the tree taller?
A. No. Tree poles are designed to fit a particular tree and are not inter-changeable.

Q. If one bulb falls out of my Constant On™ light set will the set stay lit?
A. Yes.
• However, replace missing or burned out bulbs as soon as possible, extra current can cause other bulbs to burn out faster.

Q. What if I remove or break a circuit-limiting bulb from a Constant On™ set?
A. The set is damaged permanently and will not work.

Q. Can I cut rope light or string sets to make them a certain length?
A. NO! This will violate UL electrical safety standards.

A. No
• The manufacturer uses a special type of paint on light bulbs.

Q. Can I use my lights longer than the Holiday season?
A. No
• Trees and lights are intended for seasonal use only (90 days) at a time.
• Using the lights longer may cause short life and will void the warranty

Q. Where can I purchase a Santa's Best Craft tree or light set?
A. Our products are available at many retail outlets.

Q. Where can I buy replacement bulbs and fuses for my new tree or light set?
A. We will replace any light set still covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Most retail outlets carry replacement bulbs and fuses for our trees and lights.

• Santa's Best is a manufacturer, licensed to sell to retail outlets, not the general public

Q. How do I change the fuses in my trees or light sets?

Q. Where are the plug markings located?
A. On the bladed plug, on the opposite side of where the fuses go in. There should be a GE emblem. Under the GE emblem you will find two letters and 2 numbers, this is the plug marking you will need when you call our customer service representative department.

Q. Why can't I use my Animated ornaments with Constant On Lights?
A. The special design of bulb holder prevents anything other than the Constant On socket to be inserted.
